New Website on Target

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA - Alan Metcalfe, Chairman/CEO of Internet Business Systems, Inc., said today that work on the Company's new Website for the Global e-Marketplace was well advanced and said that the site would be released in conjunction with the commercial release of the Safe Worlds IPTV system. We are on track to have the global e-market up and operating by June this year, he said. However, we are still not sure that we will have full service and support in place for the system by that time. "As soon as everything is in place, it will be released," he said.
Mr. Metcalfe said that the new Safe Worlds IPTV Website would make greater use of video and would be more effective in promoting the strengths of the Safe Worlds IPTV platform. " It is being developed in Microsoft's Silverlight environment which is still relatively new. We are still learning what can be done with this powerful development package" he said.
Mr. Metcalfe said that the new Website, which is designed to be the ultimate "face" of Safe Worlds to the World Wide Web, was a major undertaking for the IBS development team. " We are unaware of another site witeh such complexity," he said; "where the one site had to do so much. It has to have the capacity to provide a common access to literally thousands of IPTV channels and ultimately millions of products." The good news however is that we are almost there.
